The holidays are in full swing!
My boyfriend, Alex, and I spent the most wonderful Thanksgiving together with our immediate family – just parents and siblings. We ate lunch with his family and had dinner with mine. Then we topped off the day with a few hilarious rounds of Scattegories! If you haven’t played I would highly recommend to get it for your next game night. Linked here!
Black Friday I ended up having a short day of work which was nice. I came home and did some Christmas decorating with my mom and sister. We grabbed some Chipotle for dinner. First time having Chipotle for me (I’m a Qdoba lover and that is where my loyalty remains!) but it wasn’t too bad. I also did a lot of online Black Friday shopping. I will list all my Black Friday finds below.
Pink Lily
Mystery Box – a mix and match of 3 clothing items
Originally $45, Paid $26
Walmart
Zip up Sweater (Christmas gift for my boyfriend)

Work Scrubs (This was the cheapest place I could find some)

Originally $36, Paid $30
Gold layered necklace (Gift for my boyfriend’s sister)

Those were all my Black Friday finds! I didn’t really take advantage of any huge deals because I didn’t really need anything else. However, the small deals I did score made me happy!
Life Update
Now on to my most recent life update…
I got a new job!!
I’m excited to announce that I accepted a position with the Neuro Team Clinic within the hospital system I’ve been working in! This is an exciting and much needed move for me. As many of you know, I was working as a circulating nurse in the operating room. Then I had my vertebral artery dissection/occlusion diagnosis in July 2020 and was unable to return to my position in the OR due to a 15 pound lifting restriction. During these last few months I’ve been working in my hospital’s sterile processing department putting together surgical instruments. As much as the low stress work has been nice and very much needed, I am excited to get back to caring for patients!
My position with the Neuro Team will have me focusing on phone triage and seeing patients in the clinic setting. I will also be doing very minor pre-op and post-op for patients who are having in-office procedures. The Neuro Team’s main focus is on pain management. I start my new position the first week of January 2021! What a great way to start the new year!
Well that’s all for now folks! Hope everyone had a safe and happy Thanksgiving!
xoxo,
Heather
