I thought it would be fun to start out with 10 fun facts about me so you can get to know me a little bit more.
1. I’m a Registered Nurse.
I had my heart set on working in the medical field for as long as I can remember. Then I applied for a nursing camp in high school and that pretty much set my mind on the path of nursing. I graduated in the spring of 2019 with my Bachelor of Science in Nursing and took my first job as a Registered Nurse working in the operating room in October of 2019. I love being in the OR, it’s super fast paced and exciting. Every single day is different and you get to see and do so many different things as a nurse in the OR. The surgery department that I work in we do about 300 different types of surgeries so I’m not kidding when I say it’s different every day.
2. I’m the oldest of three kids.
I have a younger sister Brianna who is 4 years younger than me and I have a younger brother Nick who is 6 years younger than me. My sister works in the dental field currently working as a dental assistant and going to school to be a dental hygienist. My brother just graduated high school and is obsessed with all things cars. He’s owned probably over a dozen cars sometimes having four at one time and he’s only 18.
3. I write poetry.
That’s probably something most people don’t know about me but I love writing poetry. Typically I write shorter poems and keep it more simple. I don’t really stick to any sort of guide or reference when I write, I just put pencil to paper and write away. I enjoy reading a lot of poetry and getting inspiration from some of my favorite poets.
4. I’m a huge dog lover.
Like I’m obsessed with my dogs hahaha. My family has two yellow labs – Daisy and Lily and the world revolves around them. Now that may seem a little dramatic but it is what it is and we’ve accepted it. They’re 1 and 2 years old so they’re still puppies with lots of energy.
5. I’ve walked in New York Fashion Week.
Wait, what?! Yeah you read that right. I’ve actually done quite a bit of modeling throughout the last four years. This includes commercial and runway modeling across the US. The highlight of that being when I walked for two designers in New York Fashion Week Fall 2019. I’m not as active in the modeling world these days but I still do some work here and there and hope to maybe return to the runway one day.
6. I’m an Enneagram Type Two (The Helper).
I think almost everything that encompasses in being a type two is who I am to a T. Now to be straightforward I don’t have a full depth of knowledge on the Enneagram test but for me I find it to be very accurate in who I am and what I align with. Type two is known as the helper and they are caring, generous, demonstrative, people-pleasing, and are very empathetic. Their basic desire is to be loved and their basic fear is feeling unwanted or unworthy of love. You got it, that is 100% me.
7. I love horror movies.
Call me a psycho but horror movies are pretty much all I watch when it comes to movies. Every now and then I like to enjoy a romantic comedy or an action movie but for the most part I stick to the scary stuff haha. Now don’t ask me why I enjoy them so much I just do. So if you have a good horror or thriller movie recommendation please send it my way!
8. The beach is my favorite place to visit.
Yes, I absolutely love the beach specifically ocean beaches. Typically my favorite vacations include staying on the beach or visiting the beach. Being in Wisconsin we obviously don’t have any beaches on the ocean so occasionally I settle for a sandy spot near the lake.
9. I enjoy doing yoga.
I do a lot of my own yoga practice and I enjoy my own flow. I do really enjoy going to yoga classes too. I’ve even done hot yoga which I liked. I find yoga brings me a lot of peace and I always feel great after a session!
10. I love connecting with people!
Yes, my most favorite thing is connecting with others! I am naturally very much an introvert so this can be hard for me to do but I try to break out of my shell when I can and make those connections! I love hearing other peoples’ stories and perspectives on different topics. Deep conversations on life, love, and everything in between is what I adore. So please reach out and connect!
